엄마와 딸

Staring at sonogram images is one thing, holding the baby is quite another. Once back at home, we simply couldn’t stop looking at her—such a beautiful little baby we invited to the world out of love. Most of the day Hana would just sleep, feed, or cry. Too little to have any real interaction, Hana doesn’t seem to fully realize our presence near her. A one-way love from us to Hana as it is, we most definitely feel connected with her.

아기를 직접 품에 안고 지켜보는 벅찬 마음은 초음파 사진을 들여다보던 것과는 비교도 안 되는 감정이었습니다. 집에 돌아온 뒤, 자고 있는 아기를 하염없이 지켜보게 되더군요. 우리의 사랑으로 이 세상에 초대한 우리 꼬마 딸. 하나는 하루종일 자고 먹고 울 뿐, 아직 주변 사람이나 사물을 인식하지 못하는 꼬맹이입니다. 아직은 부모가 일방통행으로 사랑과 관심을 쏟아붓고는 있지만, 우리 세 사람이 가족으로 끈끈하게 엮여가는 기분입니다.
